Debris on highways – Multan Chief Executive Officer of Waste Management Company Shahid Yaqoob has said that on the instructions of Deputy Commissioner Umar Jahangir, he has given the task of removing building materials and garbage heaps from the city before Eid-ul-Fitr. In this regard, Waste Management Company has given 10 more property owners and contractors.
The notices have been issued and the property will be sealed after the final warning. Under the direction of Chief Executive Officer Shahid Yaqoob, the Enforcement Cell took strict action in different areas of the city and gave an ultimatum to those who throw building materials and waste on the highways to clear the roads. On this occasion, Shahid Yaqoob said that under the Local Government Act, it is a crime to throw debris on the highways. Throwing debris and garbage outside is causing sanitation and sewage problems. Shahid Yaqoob appealed to the civil society to help the company in cleaning the city. Cooperation has to be done. Soon the company officers will be given the powers of enforcement inspectors
