To protect the people of Pakistan in general and the taxpayers in particular from counterfeiters and fraudsters, a new section 77, which deals with uniforms, has been added after section 76 in the Finance Bill of FY 2022-23. It states that immediately after the approval of the Finance Bill by the National Assembly, the Federal Board of Revenue will issue a notification in the Official Gazette in which the officers and staff of Inland Revenue Services (Income Tax, Sales Tax, Federal Excise Duty) will be given uniforms. Wearing rules will be announced. Chairman FBR Asim Ahmed’s Personal Staff Officer Rassar also wore a beautiful ‘dignified’ barbaric uniform and had visible FBR embroidered on his arm.
